The CRC/TR 296 is part of a lecture series on "Sex and Gender in the Life Sciences". The series is initiated by the Strategic Research Area "Biomedical Sciences" of the University of Duisburg-Essen and organised in cooperation with six other DFG networks. From May to December 2024, eight talks by invited researchers will focus on the relevance of the gender perspective in biomedical research. The LOCOTACT lecture by Prof. Dr. Olaf Hiort entitled "Do we have to re-define sex in biomedical research?" will be part of the programme in June 2024. More information and the full schedule is available online.

We are looking forward to many interesting presentations.
